What the ridge offers

Smoky Mountain Ridge is a mountain community first: wooded lots, private roads, long views, and a deliberately quiet setting. Here is what that means in practice — and what the board is still confirming.

This page is being rebuilt. The items below are the community characteristics we can verify from the association's own materials. Sections marked “pending confirmation” are placeholders awaiting a reviewed amenity list from the HOA board.

Confirmed today

The community, as it actually is

Drawn from the association's published description of the resort; items below are being confirmed with the board.

A wooded mountain setting

Homes sit among the trees off Wears Valley Road rather than on a highway frontage, in the hills between Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley.

Designed for leisure and recreation

The resort was laid out with leisure and recreation in mind — the association has stated this as its founding intent from the beginning.

Protected natural habitat

Quiet enjoyment of the natural habitat is important to our residents and guests, and the forest between homes is kept as forest.

A resort entrance off Wears Valley Road

The community entrance sits just past the Cove Creek waterfall, with the community bridge pictured on the association's own pages.

Resort care with defined responsibilities

Who maintains what is spelled out in the association's “Responsibilities of Parties and Resort Care” document in the owner document library.

An established, actively managed HOA

A seated board of directors, a professional management company, annual owner meetings and published governing documents.

The entrance

Across the bridge

The community bridge is the first thing owners and guests cross on the way in, and it is the clearest expression of what Smoky Mountain Ridge is: a private mountain neighborhood with one way in, off a valley road, well back from the Parkway.

Roads, grounds and shared structures within the community are the association's responsibility, funded by owner assessments and administered by the board with its management company.

Location as an amenity

For a mountain community, proximity is a feature. Smoky Mountain Ridge trades highway frontage for a short drive.

  • Just off the Pigeon Forge Parkway

The resort is a short distance from the Parkway by way of Wears Valley Road — close enough for dinner in town, far enough for quiet.

  • Past the Cove Creek waterfall

The entrance is on the left, a little past the Cove Creek waterfall, one of the landmarks on the drive out from town.

  • Sevierville, adjacent to Pigeon Forge

The community lies in the city of Sevierville, next door to Pigeon Forge and within reach of Gatlinburg, Townsend and the national park.

To be confirmed — the vendor directory (property management, rental management, cleaning, electrical) will be summarized here once reviewed.

Pending confirmation

Community life & events

Placeholder section. The association keeps a community calendar; which entries are association-hosted events rather than observed holidays or regional festivals needs board confirmation.

Association-hosted gatherings

To be confirmed — the annual owners meeting is documented; any social gatherings organized by the association are not yet verified.

Community calendar

To be confirmed — the calendar will be republished here once the board confirms which listings are community events.

Owners

Governing documents live in the owner area

What is and is not permitted on a lot — exterior changes, construction and remodeling, rental permitting — is governed by the association's documents rather than by this page. Those documents, along with financials and meeting minutes, are published in the owner area.

Owners with a question that this page does not answer should contact the board or the management company directly.
