The setting
In the woods, not on the roadside
Smoky Mountain Ridge sits in the woods off Wears Valley Road, in the city of Sevierville, adjacent to Pigeon Forge. The cabins are tucked into standing forest rather than lined up along a highway — a resort community, not a commercial strip.
Our homeowners are proud of this place. We believe it is a hallmark of resorts in the area over the longer term, and demonstrates what a vibrant, pristine, and well-established community can become.

The mountains change with the hour
Morning here usually starts as fog in the hollows below, burns off through the middle of the day, and comes back as haze on the far ridgelines by evening. It is the ordinary weather of the Smokies, and it never quite repeats.
Spring brings the hardwoods back in a dozen shades of green; summer is deep shade and evening thunderstorms; October turns the whole slope over to color; and winter opens up long views through bare trees that the leaf canopy hides the rest of the year. A deck and a chair are most of what the season asks of you.

Our resort was designed with leisure and recreation in mind, and quiet enjoyment of the natural habitat is important to our residents and guests. That sentence has been the community's stated intent for years, and it still governs how the property is used.
In practice it means the woods are left as woods, and the community is kept the kind of quiet that lets you actually hear them.
Getting here
A short drive off the Parkway
Smoky Mountain Ridge is located within a short distance of the Pigeon Forge Parkway. From the Parkway, follow Wears Valley Road for just under five miles; the resort entrance is on the left, a little past the Cove Creek waterfall.
It is a pretty approach rather than a long one — you are off the four-lane and into the valley within a few minutes, with the entrance on the left just past the Cove Creek waterfall.
For families
Built around porches and slow days
The homes on the ridge are cabins in the Smokies sense of the word — timber, porches, gravel and asphalt drives, room for a family and then some. People come here to cook together, sit outside after dark, and drive down to the Parkway when they feel like the noise.
